The american Gabrielle Douglas became Thursday at the London 2012 Games the first gymnast black in Olympic history to win gold in the eventing individual, where the Venezuelan Jessica Lopez and Guatemala's Ana Sofia Gomez were 18 th and 22 th respectively.
Douglas, 16 and whoever happens to the Olympic podium compatriot Nastia Liukin, winner in Beijing 2008, dominated the race with 62,232 points, beating the Russian Victoria Komova, silver with 61,973, and Aliya Mustafina, bronze with 59,566.

After his double gold, Douglas has two more chances to extend their treasures when dispute apparatus finals on uneven bars and balance beam 6 and 7 of this month at the North Greenwich Arena, on the River Thames.
Douglas, who is coached by Liang Chow Chinese-American coach was Shawn Johnson, 2008 Beijing silver-it is also the eventing world champion team in Tokyo, 2011.
